Las Vegas.
Saeed Younan @ Pachi-Pachi on Saturday, Sept. 12, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
The room is at 211 S. Las Vegas Blvd, Suite 120, downtown. Robtronik.FM is co-presenting the night with Pachi-Pachi, Compression, and Soulkitchen. Edgar Reyes, Pat SL, and Robtronik open.
Saeed Younan (Younan Music) is a true underground heavyweight. Born in Baghdad and forced to flee Iraq in 1980, he turned music into both sanctuary and lifelong mission. For more than two decades he has been a driving force in house and techno — a DJ’s DJ known for precise, hypnotic, rolling grooves that control the floor from open to close.
Career highlights include: • Billboard #1 Dance single with Celeda – “The Underground” • America’s Top 50 Best DJ (DJ Times) for six consecutive years • Traxsource Top 20 Tech-House Artist three years running • Exclusive U.S. tour support for Carl Cox (including the historic Space Ibiza closing in 2016) • Major stages: EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Resistance, Electric Forest, BPM Festival (seven years), and headlining Montreal’s Olympic Stadium to 27,000 people • Remixes and productions for Kylie Minogue, Danny Tenaglia, Loco Dice, Information Society, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and more • Debut album MORPH charted across five Beatport genres
His independent label Younan Music (founded 2004) continues to push quality underground tech-house and tribal-edged sounds.
Hybrid Minds play Substance on Thursday, September 17.
The show is listed at 10 p.m. The room is on the second floor of Neonopolis at 450 Fremont Street, Suite 270, downtown. RVLTN and Bassrush present the night. Hybrid Minds are Joe Halstead and Matt Lowe, the Yorkshire pair whose liquid drum and bass still carries a song in the middle of the drop. They played WAH Malta last weekend and they put out how it used to be with Nixxy Rain and Dame on September 4. After Las Vegas they play Sunbar in Tempe on September 18 and Nocturnal Wonderland in San Bernardino on September 19.
Los Angeles.
Brownies and Lemonade present the DNBNL Block Party on Saturday, September 12. Doors are listed at 4 p.m. The night is 21 and over. The promoter bills it as a two-stage indoor and outdoor day-to-night drum and bass rave for five years of DNBNL. The posted lineup includes Pendulum, Andromedik, Blossom, Danny Byrd, Dirtyphonics, Fred V, K Motionz, Manila Killa, Mozey, Natty Lou, Skanka, S.P.Y, and T and Sugah. That is the West Coast drum and bass gathering this weekend, not a club hour with one headliner.

A Ukraine Rave Film Premieres Tonight With Fred again.., Aphex Twin, and Four Tet on the Score
Mixmag posted the story on September 11. Black Sunflowers premieres today at the Toronto International Film Festival. James Marcus Haney directed it. He made the 2014 Coachella film No Cameras Allowed. This one started as a question about whether Kyiv's warehouse parties were still running after the 2022 invasion and became a portrait of people in their twenties moving between day raves, relationships, and the front. Sean Penn is an executive producer. The soundtrack uses Fred again.., Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, Four Tet, IDLES, Sega Bodega, and an original score from Brad Oberhofer with Ukrainian producer Koloah. The film treats the dancefloor as part of wartime life, not as an escape reel.
Silencio Takes the Old Watergate Room in Berlin Through May
Resident Advisor published the booking on September 10. Paris club Silencio will occupy the former Watergate space on Falckensteinstraße from October 30 through May 2027. The project marks fifteen years of the David Lynch-designed Paris room. A pre-opening night already ran on September 9 with Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, BASHKKA, and Valentina Magaletti. Studio Karhard, the firm that designed Berghain, is on the rebuild with Studio Raito and Bureau Borsche. Watergate closed after twenty-two years. The terrace on the Spree is still there. What changes is who programs it, and whether a members-club name can hold a room that used to belong to a working techno week.
Universal Music and ElevenLabs Build a Licensed Remix Platform
The Verge and Music Ally reported the deal on September 10 and September 11. Universal Music Group signed a multi-year agreement with the voice-AI company ElevenLabs to build a fan platform for remixes, mashups, and new interpretations of tracks from artists who opt in. UMG says the tool will sit apart from ElevenLabs' existing ElevenMusic generator. Artists choose whether their catalog is included. The announcement landed in the same week Suno released a model trained with Warner and BMG licenses. UMG, Sony, and Warner sued Suno in 2024. This is the industry trying to put a license in front of the same machine.

// FRIDAY'S WILDSTYLE ESSENTIALS
Fridays we focus on bass music in support of WildStyle: drum and bass, breaks, jungle, and heavy electro, with occasional 90s boom-bap influence. High-energy drops, speaker-rattling rhythms, and riddim built for the wild side of the floor. WildStyle airs every Friday at 8a and 8p PST.

SD Union brings Delta Heavy to Spin Nightclub, 2028 Hancock Street in San Diego, tonight, Friday, September 11. The night runs from 9 p.m. to late and is 21 and over. This is San Diego's working drum and bass night, not a one-off flyer.
Cyantific Put Call Me Out on UKF
UKF released the single on September 8 and posted the video the same day. Jonathan Stanley is the Hospital-era producer who spent years off the main board and is writing vocal drum and bass again. Call Me is the current UKF cut after Kanine and Jem Cooke's Surrender from September 2.
Hobzee Talked Through His Metalheadz Debut
Drum and Bass UK posted a new interview with Andy Hobbs in the last day. Hobbs is one half of Silent Dust and a co-founder of none60. Things Are Different Now came out on Metalheadz on August 21. The EP includes Edge of the Sea with Uneven, a title cut with Response, and Revox with Justice and saxophone from Callum Connell. DJ Mag reviewed the record when it landed.
