Monday ‘s Newsbrief Focus - JOURNEYS | August 11–17, 2026 - We haven’t launched the streaming show, but we are working on it! In the meantime, as we scour the internetz for worthwhile sets, here is today’s news brief focused on the core mission of the show - DJ sets and the art of DJing!
// CULTURE & CONTEXT
Fred again.. and LATIN MAFIA Drop “9 months & 50 hours”
Fred again.. and Mexican trio LATIN MAFIA have released their collaborative mixtape 9 months & 50 hours, the product of a multi-day livestreamed studio session in Mexico City that ran nearly non-stop until the project was finished. The 14-track set was recorded at Lago Algo in Chapultepec Park, then debuted live the same night at a sold-out Palacio de los Deportes show. The project has already topped the Billboard Top Latin Pop Albums chart and includes contributions from artists such as Mabe Fratti, Brian Eno and Lil Yachty. It is a rare, transparent look at how two distinct worlds of electronic and Latin alternative music can converge into a single, self-contained universe.
Anyma Launches ÆDEN Records with “Other Dimension”
Matteo Milleri (Anyma) has launched his new imprint ÆDEN Records, distributed via Interscope/Virgin. The first release is the collaborative single “Other Dimension” with Brazilian producer Volkoder, out now, which also opens the forthcoming compilation ÆDEN: Digital Renaissance Vol. I due later this month. The project is framed as an extension of Anyma’s cinematic, tech-forward live concept and his ongoing [UNVRS] residency in Ibiza. A full ÆDEN audiovisual show is already scheduled for ARC Festival in Chicago on September 6.

Sara Landry Announces Second Album “Divine Intervention”
Hard techno force Sara Landry has confirmed her second full-length album, Divine Intervention, for release on 16 October via her own HEKATE label. The announcement continues her rapid ascent and gives the harder end of the spectrum a clear autumn focal point after a strong summer of festival and club appearances.
// House Releases Worth Noting
Robag Wruhme – Fumaxohn (Cocoon Recordings)
The four-track EP lands 21 August and continues Cocoon’s deep, melodic and minimal-leaning house tradition. Tracks move from ghostly textures and rolling bass (“Olahni,” “Ifthah”) into warmer harmonic territory on the title cut and a stripped, driving closer (“Pentho”). Early support has already circulated among selectors who favour thoughtful, functional house tools.
Pitros & Belami – Want It More (Dirtybird)
Released 14 August, this is a solid, groove-forward Dirtybird cut that fits the label’s playful yet dancefloor-ready aesthetic. Immediate support from a range of house and tech-house names makes it a practical addition for selectors working the StationWide house lane.
