Bugs: Morgan Wallen?

One of the most annoying things with the technology stack I am using to stream the station is that when I send an Icecast (nerd alert!) audio stream from my PlayIt Live software hosted outside of Live365.com streaming servers (that’s who gets the stream to your phones or web browser) is that the automatic image serving is broke. The way Live365.com works is that it looks for the closest album art it can find and then pushes that image alongside the audio stream to your phone. Its right about 60% of the time - and thankfully when it can’t find a match, it just defaults to the music icon. It looks generic, but its better than having a match like Morgan Wallen be attached to a house or techno track.

That’s jarring and annoying and I can’t override that problem unless I start to replace the hardware and serving software infrastructure with my own homebrew set up - which then means I would have to deal with all the geographic licensing of the music on my own too.

Thats not happening.

So, I have to live it with it. I wish Live365 would allow a feature where we can just have the album art default to our station logo. That would at least not send bad or wrong art information. I’ll make a request, but I’m guessing the answer will be no.
